Equine Artist, Franzi Pfeiffer
Franzi’s
careers with horses and painting sprang from a childhood of riding and art in
her native Germany. Her path to the
U.S. led her through residency in England, Brazil, Mexico, and Thailand. In San
Miguel de Allende, Mexico during her continuing art education at Bellas Artes in
1996,
Franzi began to study the equestrian discipline of dressage. She
currently teaches and trains in Vero Beach, Florida. Go
here to see her training page.
Franzi’s
work involves a textured base, rich background colors and shading designed to
compliment the equine form in the foreground.
Franzi’s paintings
reflect the substance, refinement, and power behind Dressage, an art form
developed over the centuries.
Franzi’s
paintings have both sold and exhibited internationally.
Currently painting and riding in Florida, she also paints equine
portraits from photographs, but prefers to meet her subjects face to
face.
